White-label launch guide

A branded launch, ready beyond the logo.

A white-label ecommerce launch needs a clear brand identity and an operation that can fulfil the orders. Use this checklist to assign responsibilities across the web store, iOS and Android builds, and the ERP behind them.

01

Approve the customer-facing identity

Confirm the store and app display names, logo, colour palette and app icon. Check the artwork at small sizes, not just in a presentation. Prepare consistent support contact details and the customer-facing policies that apply to the store.

Choose the storefront domain and record who owns it, who manages DNS and who handles certificate renewal. A brand review should also inspect email and order messages so the customer knows which business is taking responsibility for the order.

  • Approved display name, logo, colours and app icon.
  • Storefront domain, DNS owner and support contacts.
  • Consistent store descriptions, screenshots and policy content.

02

Set app ownership and release responsibilities

Agree the iOS bundle identifier, Android package and developer accounts before signing the builds. Record who submits the apps, responds to review questions and approves updates.

App-store review and a completed branded build are separate milestones. The project plan should identify submission requirements and allow for questions or changes without presenting a guaranteed approval date. Source-code access, resale rights and ownership terms belong in the agreement.

03

Prepare the catalogue and service rules

Clean product names, descriptions, photos, units and prices. Select the online assortment and check availability against the branch that will fulfil orders. Make delivery and pickup options reflect the team’s actual capacity.

Configure minimum orders, delivery fees, eligible areas and time slots. Confirm currency, address entry, account verification and supported payment collection methods for the intended market. If a gateway or logistics provider is required, give it its own integration and reconciliation checklist.

04

Test real scenarios on web, iOS and Android

Run a delivery order and a pickup order from product discovery to completion. Check cart editing, the final total, the chosen slot, order status and the ERP result. Use actual phones as well as desktop browsers.

Include changed availability, an unserviceable address, interrupted connectivity, repeated submission, cancellation and customer support. Verify that the invoice, payment record and stock movement match the accepted order.

  • First-time browse, search and product detail.
  • Delivery or pickup selection and supported payment method.
  • Customer account and order-history journey where enabled.
  • Order acceptance, packing, completion and financial result.
  • Failure recovery and the route to human support.

05

Assign the operating owner after launch

Name the people responsible for incoming orders, product publication, customer queries and release approvals. Set an escalation route for a failed order or a payment mismatch.

Agree how changes to prices, delivery rules and the app build are tested. A successful launch is a repeatable process your team can operate, not simply an approved logo and a live download link.

Questions to take into planning

What is needed before a white-label app can launch?

Approved branding, app identity and distribution responsibilities, a configured storefront, product data, operating rules and end-to-end order tests.

Does a branded build guarantee app-store approval?

No. Submission and platform review are separate steps. The implementation plan should assign the accounts, content and review responsibilities.
