Start with one complete register session
Open a register, sell a normal item, apply an authorised discount and process a return linked to the original sale. Compare the receipt, tender result, stock effect and financial records. A fast product lookup matters, but it is only one part of daily acceptance.
Follow purchasing through to availability
Use a supplier purchase, a partial receipt and a transfer between branches. Ask the team to show which quantities the cashier and the ecommerce customer can see at each stage. Record who may correct a shortage and what happens to the original documents.
Compare customer balances and repeat business
Test a loyalty redemption, gift-card balance and a cancelled layaway. Separate the promotion rule from its financial result.
