Odoo Ecommerce Alternative: Web & Shopping Apps
Choosing an Odoo ecommerce alternative is a decision about both the store and the operation behind it. Compare who owns the catalogue, how online orders reach the branch and what is needed for your own branded website and shopping apps.

| What to evaluate | Tellency | Odoo eCommerce |
|---|---|---|
| Store foundation | Client-branded website on its own domain, connected to Tellency ERP products, prices and stock. | Odoo documents tools for online-store design, products, ordering, checkout and delivery. |
| Shopping apps | Per-client app name, branding, iOS identifier and Android package can be configured for shopping-app builds. | Identify the exact mobile shopping experience and any additional development included in the Odoo proposal. |
| Order operations | Orders progress through acceptance, packing, delivery or pickup and completion in Tellency. | Demonstrate the proposed Odoo fulfilment and financial workflow with the same order. |
| Extensions | Scope gateway, distribution-account, third-party logistics and custom requirements separately. | Odoo plan and hosting choices affect customisation and external API scope. |
Define the channels customers will actually use
A website provides a direct link for new shoppers. An installed app needs a useful repeat-ordering journey. Write down which channels belong in the first release, who maintains their content and how the customer finds help after checkout.
Keep the catalogue and branch rules coherent
Choose the system responsible for product identity, prices and availability. Tellency’s storefront reads these from the client ERP. Test a product removed from online sale and a price change between browsing and checkout so the result is understandable to the customer.
Demonstrate fulfilment beyond the checkout screen
Place a delivery order and a branch-pickup order. Follow acceptance, packing and completion. In Tellency, completion records the configured invoice, payment and stock movement. Ask the Odoo implementation team to show the corresponding records and any extra apps or settings.
Write down branding and release ownership
For a white-label app, approve the name, icon, colours, identifiers and storefront connection. Decide who owns developer accounts, signing, submission and updates. A completed build and approval by an app store are different release milestones.
Match the payment scope to the proposal
Tellency’s current storefront supports cash or card on delivery and bank-transfer selection; additional gateways are scoped separately. Compare the actual payment methods, settlement, cancellation and refund handling in both proposals, including regional availability and third-party charges.
Questions before you choose
Does Tellency provide white-label ecommerce apps?
Yes. The offer includes client-branded web stores and iOS and Android shopping apps, connected to the client’s Tellency operation.
Should we migrate the whole ERP with the store?
Map which systems you want to retain first. Catalogue ownership, order processing, financial records and integrations determine the migration and implementation scope.
